From a Childhood Dream to a Mission of Second Chances.

Our Story

The Empty Kennel Club doesn't exist because we wanted to sell T-shirts and coffee mugs. It exists because of a little girl who couldn't walk past a dog in need.

I was the kid who came home asking my parents if we could keep the stray dog I'd found. The one who would make her dad pull the car over every time we'd see a dog wandering the streets. When I was four years old, I told everyone I wanted to be a veterinarian because I loved dogs so much. Turns out, I wasn't exactly built for ten years of schooling. But one thing has always remained true.

I can't walk past a dog that needs help. As I got older, that passion became volunteering at our local animal shelter and eventually opening our own home to foster dogs who had nowhere else to go.

"Every day, shelters are forced to make heartbreaking decisions because more animals come through their doors than they have room to care for. The dogs pay the price."

But here's what I've learned: shelters are filled with incredible dogs who simply haven't had the opportunity to show people who they really are. A frightened dog behind kennel bars isn't always the same dog after a few weeks in a home—after they've had time to sleep deeply, play, trust again, and simply remember what it feels like to be a dog.

Foster Journey

Since October 2025, we've helped 35 shelter dogs find a path to a better future. Fifteen have come through our home as foster dogs, receiving the decompression, socialization, and care they needed before finding loving families. Twenty more found homes or rescue placement because our social media videos helped people see beyond the kennel and discover who those dogs really were.

And every single time one of those dogs left the shelter... A kennel became empty for the next stray dog who needs it. The vision became clear when we realized that something as simple as creating more space could change lives.

Building the Dream

So we asked ourselves: What would happen if we built a place designed to help more dogs at one time? That's how the dream of our foster farm was born.

But we also knew we couldn't build it on donations alone. We needed a mission that could sustain itself—one where every purchase helps fund more foster space, every supporter becomes part of the solution, and every empty kennel creates another second chance.

That's why we're building a foster farm. The Empty Kennel Club is a mission-driven business created to fund that vision. Every T-shirt, every dog bandana, every coffee mug, every membership, and every sponsorship helps us create more foster space—and more second chances.
